Catalystdev was born in 2019, at the crossroads of curiosity, creativity, and code. Based in Montreal, we started with a simple belief: digital experiences should be intentional, durable, and deeply aligned with the people who use them. Our beginnings were honest. We repaired broken WordPress websites, refreshed small splash pages, and helped SMBs make sense of their online presence. These early projects were practical and unglamorous, but they shaped how we work. As trust grew, so did our ambition. We transitioned from simple websites to building full-fledged portals for non-profits—platforms designed to support operations, manage complexity, and scale with purpose. To support this evolution, we expanded and deepened our technical foundations. In 2023, we welcomed Laravel into our toolkit, enabling us to tackle a broader range of business needs with flexibility and precision. By 2025, Django became central to our approach, bringing structure, reliability, and long-term maintainability to every platform we build. Each technology we adopt earns its place by helping us create software that feels natural, coherent, and tailored.
