Alternative Naissance

Alternative Naissance is an autonomous, non-profit community group that has, since 1982, provided activities and services to humanize birth and strengthen family and community life. The organization relies on the generous work of independent workers and volunteers to offer free birth and postpartum support to all who request it, within budgetary capacity, neighborhood coverage, and staff availability.

The goal was to replace a decade-old system with a modern, custom-built platform using Wagtail, designed specifically to meet the operational needs of Alternative Naissance. The platform manages the organization's daily operations, from client intake to scheduling birth and postpartum accompaniment, ensuring that requests are tracked, assigned, and fulfilled efficiently.

Built to support the unique workflows of a community-focused organization, the solution allows staff and volunteers to coordinate effectively, maintain accurate records, and provide timely support to families—whether early in pregnancy or during the first months after birth.
